The Korean Cultural Center Los Angeles (Director Haedon Lee) hosted the National Opera of Korea’s Opera Voyage at Zipper Hall, Colburn School, downtown LA, as part of the Touring K-Arts program and the opening performance of the 52nd LA Korean Festival. The gala concert featured a dynamic mix of Korean opera, folk songs, and classical arias, including Lim Joon-hee’s ‘the Soul Mate’, showcasing Korea’s unique operatic artistry. Performed by emerging talents from the National Opera Studio, the event offered North American audiences a vibrant cultural experience while providing young Korean artists with invaluable international stage exposure. The free performance was warmly received by LA’s Korean community and local audiences, further strengthening cultural exchange between Korea and the U.S.
