(Boursier.com) — On the occasion of the opening of Paris Games Week, Ubisoft announces the official celebrations of the 30th anniversary of Rayman, the iconic video game hero.
Rayman is the best-known and best-selling French video game hero in the world. Since its first appearance in 1995, Rayman has influenced generations of gamers around the world with its colorful universe, its captivating music and its innovative gameplay. Rayman is famous for being a video game character without arms or legs. This feature gives him a very recognizable appearance and allows him to make spectacular acrobatic moves in games.
Created by Michel Ancel and Frédéric Houde within Ubisoft Montpellier and Ubisoft Paris, Rayman is a platformer that first appeared in 1995. Each new version of the game caused a stir when it was released.
To celebrate this anniversary, Ubisoft is planning a series of events throughout the year, exclusive content, interviews with the original creators, as well as an exhibition tracing the evolution of Rayman through the decades. Fans will also be able to participate in creative competitions and live broadcasts hosted by developers and streamers.
