Version 2.5 of Persona5: The Phantom X Now Available

Atlus has launched Version 2.5 of Persona 5: The Phantom X and it introduces new characters along with new gear.

Version 2.5 is the fifth major update for Persona 5: The Phantom X since it launched back in July 2025. It introduces new game modes, new characters, and additional content while also bringing back some familiar favorites. At the same time, it fixes some bugs and performance issues.

Here is a breakdown of all the new content introduced in Version 2.5:

  • 5★ Most Wanted: Masaki Ashiya
  • 4★ Most Wanted: Riko Tanemura
  • 4★ Most Wanted: Kiyoshi Kurotani
  • 4★ Most Wanted: Motoha Arai
  • New Weapon: Masaki Ashiya’s Spina Sacramenti
  • New Weapon: Masaki Ashiya’s Spina Caritatis
  • New Weapon: Riko Tanemura’s Moonlight Needle
  • New Weapon: Kiyoshi Kurotani’s Death Stinger
  • New Weapon: Motoha Arai’s Crime & Punishment
  • Tycoon Card Game: Tycoon is a  4-player card game featured in Persona 5 Royal, where players compete to discard their hand the fastest. Classic and Ranked Match modes will be available, rewarding Tycoon Points, which can be traded for Gold Tickets, training materials, and characters. It’s unlocked after defeating the first Palace ruler.
  • Seth and Trumpeter Boss:  A high-difficulty challenge where players Level 25 or above can challenge the Seth and Trumpeter. Players can defeat bosses at higher Abnormality Levels to get more lavish rewards.
  • Thieves’ Secrets Event: Available to play in Normal, Challenge, and Limited Modes. In Normal, the 5★ Phantom Thief Masaki Ashiya will always be part of your party, as a free trial. Once all Normal stages are completed, Challenge and Limited modes unlock.

Persona 5: The Phantom X launched on June 26 for the PC and mobile devices. A spin-off of the acclaimed JRPG, players assume the role of a student living a double life as a Phantom Thief. By day, they attend school and enjoy various activities around the city. By night, they infiltrate cognitive dungeons to steal Treasures and reform the twisted desires of corrupt adults.
