Michel Vauzelles announced yesterday an unprecedented pricing effort in Provence Alpes Côte d’Azur by presenting the “Zou!” card.
“You will note in passing that we named it “Zou!” and not “Go”, for example, to defend our regional identity and not give in to ambient Americanism. Here “zou” everyone knows what it means. »
Beyond the joke, this new transport card, available in several forms, is likely to be very successful from 1 is Next September, the official date of its entry into circulation on the TER, LER (coaches) and Chemins de fer de Provence (Nice – Digne line) networks.
1- “Zou! Studies”, free”
Whoa! Etudes” is reserved for middle and high school students, students, apprentices and trainees under the age of 26. For an application fee of €15, it will allow its holder to travel free for one year (from September to September) on the home – study route as often as they want, and at 50% on all other TER journeys. To obtain it: go to the station with two photos, proof of address and a school certificate.
2- “Would ! 50/75%
It replaces the current “youth” and “all public” cards. Valid for one year from purchase (application fee of €30 for those over 26, €15 for others) it entitles the holder to a 50% reduction on all journeys but also up to three accompanying persons! In addition, it offers 75% reduction on a specific and fixed route with purchase of a book of 10 tickets.
3- “Would! Solidarity”
Already existing on the LER and SNCF (TER) lines, it is extended to the Chemins de Fer de Provence. The 90% reduction rate is maintained but the validity period of the card increases from 6 months to one year. The holder also benefits from a book of 10 tickets (which removes the obstacle of the minimum collection of €1.2). “Zou! Solidaire” is intended for Rmists, RSA beneficiaries and unemployed people at the end of their entitlement (the application formalities remain the same).
4- All audiences
Subscriptions for all public are maintained, as well as Ter + and Ter ++ subscriptions (train combined with one or two networks, urban or interurban). The Region already has agreements with 17 urban networks (Marseille, Aix, etc.) and wishes to increase them (in Toulon in particular).
These new subscriptions will now be called “Zou! Weekly”, “Zou! Monthly” and “Zou! Annual”.
Finally, the “Event Passes”, 1 day or 3 days, are maintained but will be more standardized for “Marseille European Capital of Culture 2013” type events.
All file formalities will be carried out in the stations (SNCF and CP) from 1 is July
