Slowly but surely, Saber Interactive continues to raise the hype regarding Jurassic Park Survival, which tells us more about its heroine through her interpreter.
It has now been a month since Jurassic World Evolution 3 has been released, providing a great additional opportunity for fans of management games and dinosaurs to combine their two passions in a unique gaming experience. However, for the general public, if there is one game that is extremely anticipated, it is Jurassic Park Survival. Because the least we can say is that Saber Interactive’s title is intended to be a true homage to the film that started it all in 1993, and the latest trailer proves it once again.
The heroine of Jurassic Park Survival sells us dreams
Indeed, Jurassic Park Survival may have been very discreet since its announcement in 2023, but that does not prevent its creators from giving us brief glimpses of it as soon as the opportunity arises. Just this summer, for example, we were treated to a beautiful making-of video of almost six minutes, which notably looked at the studio’s ambitions with regard to recreation of Isla Nublaremblematic island of the first film. And today, the time has come to find out more about Maya Joshi, who will be the protagonist of the game.
“The journey itself, Maya’s arc, it’s just incredible” explains Payal Mistry, the actress playing the character. “She was personally recruited by Dr. Henry Woo to become a mechanical engineer at the park. Players will take on the role of Maya as she faces these gigantic and terrifying dinosaurs, as well as extremely difficult challenges.. In fact, the adventure will then be a way for Jurassic Park Survival players to learn more about Maya, both emotionally and mentally.
“I really identify with Maya on many levels” added Mistry. “She is incredibly passionate and adventurous. I think she’s taking risks. She is stepping out of her comfort zone. It’s nice to represent a woman who not only shares the same background as me, but who is also someone very strong.” she tells us, as behind-the-scenes footage from the filming of Jurassic Park Survival is revealed. “To be honest, I feel like I’m learning a lot about myself. She is very inspiring”.
Still no release date
And the character of Maya may have been created specifically for the needs of the game, but that doesn’t stop the challenge from being particularly intimidating for the actress. “Jurassic Park is so loved” Mistry explains. “You want to do the character justice. You want to do the game justice. I think I’m standing on the shoulders of one of the coolest female characters in cinema history » she concludes. Enough to increase our impatience tenfold at the idea of knowing more about this Jurassic Park Survival, which currently still has no release window.
