Book trips with Google Home? It’s possible!

Google Home will no longer only be used to answer questions, but will allow you to pay for purchases via the voice assistant.

This new functionality meets obvious needs since 44% of people using their speaker (Google Home) at least once a week use the device to order productsaccording to Google.

For this, the Mountain View firm created the program Actions Shopping. This allows you to finalize purchases from the personal assistant, but also from searches carried out on mobile, or a desktop computer via a universal basket. Instant payment is carried out using information recorded on Google.com and the Google Assistant, allowing the Internet user to be able to juggle from one terminal to another.

The technology developed by GAFA is also an opportunity for merchant sites to be able to build customer loyalty. The payment model is sales-based. Already tested in the USA, the program Actions Shopping appears to be paying off according to the search engine, as retailers on average see an increase in total conversions at a lower cost than Shopping ads. They also noticed an increasing average basket.

We revealed it to you on TourMaG.com, Transavia is the first company to “enable our customers to book trips on Google Home and Amazon Alexa” according to Hervé Kozar, deputy general commercial director at Transavia.
