This is a first in Louvre-Lens. The museum is preparing to welcome a international e-sports tournament on Saturday November 22, 2025. In total, 128 players coming from all over the world will compete in the game Super Smash Bros Ultimate. And among the competitors, we find big names in the discipline.

Called “Hall of Frames”, this event is organized by Crédit Agricole Nord de France in partnership with Lille Esport, the main e-sports club in the metropolis. This meeting takes place on the occasion of Gameday, an entire day imagined by the museum and dedicated to video games and digital arts. “Come for e-sport, stay for art”: that’s the challenge of this first edition. And for good reason, many great players will be there: like the French Gluttonythe Japanese Shuton, Akakikusu, Raru and Tea, or the American Zomba. As for the commentators, spectators will find Sakor Irb and Stars. The latter is followed by more than two million people and specializes in cultural popularization.
The matches will be broadcast and directly on the Twitch streaming platform. Places to participate in the tournament are still available. The tournament will take place at 16 h 30in the 270-seat auditorium. Access to this space will remain free, organized via an on-site ticket office on the day of the event.
Profits from the day will be donated to Family 2 Geek. This association helps people with disabilities through gaming and raises awareness about cyberharassment.
