Finally some good news: one of the most anticipated video games of recent years has an official release date.
When it comes to release dates in recent months we need to be very careful given the recent implications of the video game industry. In particular with regards to what we can define without a shadow of a doubt as one of the most anticipated video games and with the largest budget in the history of video games, that is GTA 6. A large product, which we should have already had in our hands, and which instead was moved first to mid-2026 and then even to the next November 19, 2026.
Unfortunately, in fact, despite 2025 being a year full of interesting titles and many unique and special games, there were still many press releases announcing the postponement of this or that title. A far from ideal situation, but still much more than bearable compared to what happened in 2024 or during Covid-19con you put it off practically every single day.
And although GTA 6 is inevitably attracting all the attention and anger of the gaming world after the announcement of the second very unexpected postponement, here we point out that there is also another important video game that has just revealed that it will not respect the release date originally chosen, taking the postponement route. Showa American Story has a new release date
We’re talking about Showa American Storey, a new third-person action game with RPG components that is an exciting love letter to 80s pop culturewith a strong reference to B-movie and at Japanese influences.
A teenage girl mysteriously comes back to life, only to find herself in an entirely new post-apocalyptic world, populated by zombies, monsters and human survivors of different social backgrounds and religious beliefs.
