CI Games has made its stance clear. The studio behind Lords of the Fallen II wants to distance the sequel from political correctness and bring back a more traditional approach to character design, including attractive female characters with revealing armor.
A Big Presence at The Game Awards 2025
Lords of the Fallen II was one of the standout games at The Game Awards 2025, where it debuted its first gameplay trailer. Even better, players will not have to wait long to get their hands on it, as the soulslike sequel is scheduled to launch next year.
Like the original, the game is headed to PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC via the Epic Games Store. Alongside the reveal, CI Games also surprised fans with a free content update for the original Lords of the Fallen.
While an exact release date is still unknown, CI Games CEO Marek Tyminski shared another headline grabbing detail. The sequel will place a clear emphasis on female attractiveness.
“Women in Revealing Armor” Confirmed
Marek Tyminski, founder and CEO of CI Games, explained on X that the sequel is deliberately avoiding political correctness, and he offered context for the decision.
“Many of you asked why the game initially used body types A and B,” he said, referring to the original version that avoided explicit gender distinctions.
“Hexworks started in early 2020 as an independent studio owned by CI Games. At first, political correctness and information leaks prevented many decisions from going through me,” he added.
“Since late 2024, I’ve been far more involved, and I now act as Studio Director in addition to my role as CEO. Things are very different now.”
According to Tyminski, the team has reversed “many wrong decisions” through successive updates to Lords of the Fallen, gradually reshaping the project’s direction.
“Lords of the Fallen II is being developed with feedback from real players in mind, and that is very clear in the last two trailers,” he stated.
When asked directly whether the game would feature attractive female characters and revealing armor, Tyminski responded with a clear yes.
No Forced Inclusivity
This position is consistent with statements Tyminski made back in 2025, when he emphasized that CI Games titles would not include forced inclusivity elements designed to fit political or social agendas.
That view is supported by Ryan Hill, CI Games’ head of marketing, who told shareholders that the studio’s priority is player enjoyment, and that pushing such agendas represents a significant commercial risk.
CI Games is following a similar philosophy to studios like Arrowhead, the developers of Helldivers 2, who have also spoken out against what they describe as forced inclusivity.
This creative direction will be put to the test in 2026, when Lords of the Fallen II finally launches.
