The moment this project was announced, expectations were set at a cosmic level. We first reported on the collaboration back in March, noting that Marvel Assemble! Cosmic Invasion co-op beat ’em up was revealed by the TMNT: Shredder’s Revenge team.
That team – Dotemu and Tribute Games – is back to craft an original, fresh beat ’em up adventure that stands as a true love letter to the Marvel Universe.
Strategy Meets Cosmic Swap
The conflict begins when the living death that walks, Annihilus, unleashes an unprecedented attack across the galaxy. It’s up to a diverse roster of heroes to fight him back from New York City to the depths of the Negative Zone.
The combat is dynamic, high-speed, and encourages team-ups. With the unique Cosmic Swap tag-team system, you choose two heroes for each level and switch between them instantly. This allows you to create unique combos and powerful special attacks, encouraging creative team-ups and a more tactical approach to the action.
You’ll need a big team to take down the Annihilation Wave. The game features 15 playable heroes, both Earth-born and cosmic, including fan-favorites like Nova, Spider-Man, Wolverine, Phyla-Vell, and Captain America.
