The first Early Access update for Assetto Corsa Rally is now live, bringing winter themed content along with plenty of fixes and performance improvements.
The update introduces snowy and icy surfaces through a new scenario set in Livigno in the Italian Alps. Players can take on the laser scanned Ghiacciodromo Livigno Ice Circuit, a real world ice driving facility located just outside the alpine resort town. Known for its frozen conditions and high altitude setting, the circuit is used for ice driving courses, events and vehicle testing by major manufacturers including Ferrari, Porsche and BMW.
For the first time in the series, players can experience ultra low grip driving on glazed ice with both main and reverse layouts available. These conditions place a heavy focus on car control and vehicle dynamics, pushing players to adapt their driving style and fully engage with the physics engine.
The update also adds a new rally car to the initial lineup with the 1973 Alpine A110. Widely regarded as one of the most iconic rally cars ever built, the A110 became famous for its lightweight design, rear engine layout and sharp handling on tight stages. Its place in history was sealed in 1973 when it claimed the first World Rally Championship for manufacturers.
There’s plenty more included in patch 0.2, with a wide range of additional updates detailed in the patch notes below. Assetto Corsa Rally is available now on Steam in Early Access and is currently on sale for $23.99.
