Between colossal open worlds, legendary returns and new licenses designed to heat up your sticks, 2026 promises a monstrous year. Whether you are a tryharder, explorer or loot collector, prepare your backlog: the releases come one after the other and no breaks are planned.
1. GTA 6
Vice City comes back to life, and this time, we follow Jason and Lucia, a criminal duo despite themselves, embroiled in a plot that goes awry. Rockstar promises a gigantic map and realism never before achieved in the saga. Suffice to say that the players are counting the days before the release postponed to fall 2026.
2. Pokémon Pokopia
Nintendo revisits the formula with a cubic world, a Ditto in human form and gameplay based on learning skills from Pokémon. Bulbasaur-style gardening, Squirtle-style watering… a spin-off that promises to be chill and refreshing.
3. Crimson Desert
Between magic, strange creatures and titanic battles, this open world RPG promises to be generous. The world is densely alive, the activities varied, and the technical prowess could make it one of the most immersive games of the year.
4. Saros
Housemarque uses the recipe from Returnal: mysterious planet, time loop and mystery to be solved. Notable new feature: the weapons remain in your possession from one attempt to the next, promising boss fights that increase in power.
5. Fable
After six years of hiatus, the cult license marks a return between humor, fantasy and moral dilemmas. Playground Games, known for its sumptuous worlds, reinvents the universe while retaining the satirical spirit of the series.
6. Marvel’s Wolverine
Insomniac Games puts Logan at the center of a more mature story than the usual adaptations Marvel. Between the quest for identity, fierce enemies and unexpected alliances, the adventure promises as much muscle as emotion.
7. Nioh 3
This new epic follows Tokugawa Takechiyo in a revisited Japan, vast and open. Two fighting styles oppose each other: direct power for the samurai, lethal agility for the ninjas. It’s up to you to define your path.
8. 007 First Light
Twelve years without a game Bondit was long. IO Interactive corrects the situation with a spy thriller retracing the training of the iconic agent. Infiltration, explosive missions and Hitman-style atmosphere: chic espionage is making a comeback.
9. Resident Evil Requiem
This ninth opus goes back to the beginnings of the virus through the investigation of Grace Ashcroft, FBI agent. Capcom is banking on a classic survival horror, but nourished by partnerships, collectors and even an Amiibo… the apocalypse but premium version.
10. The Duskbloods
FromSoftware mixes gothic atmosphere, vampiric monsters and eight-player cooperation. Solo combat or Bloodsworn squad: prepare to suffer, but in good company. A title that promises to expand the soulslike formula without betraying it.
