AWS, the cloud platform (remote computing) of the American giant Amazon, has been experiencing disruptions for several hours, it indicated Monday morning on its maintenance site, causing numerous connection problems to popular sites and applications such as Amazon, Snapchat or Fortnite.

At 11:27 a.m. (9:27 a.m.), AWS reported seeing “significant signs of recovery” after “applying initial mitigation measures.”
A subsidiary of Amazon, AWS is a remote (cloud) computing platform that provides businesses with on-demand services such as storage, databases and artificial intelligence (AI). The AI software “Perplexity is currently unavailable,” Aravind Srinivas, CEO of the start-up, told X. “The problem is caused by an AWS malfunction. We are working to resolve it,” he continued.
The accommodation reservation site Airbnb, the social network Instagram, the game sales platform Steam and the online video games Roblox and Brawl Stars are affected.
Several telephone operators are also affected, such as Orange, Bouygues Telecom and SFR.
