Norwegian will offer free wifi in 2019

Norwegian offers travelers free access to Wi-Fi on intercontinental flights from 2019.

This announcement concerns routes between Europe, the United States, South America and Asia which are operated by the company’s Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner and 737 MAX.

By 2020, more than 50% of Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners are expected to be equipped with connectivity. Installation of Wi-Fi on the company’s Boeing 737 MAX will begin in mid-January 2019.

Passengers will therefore have the choice between two Wi-Fi connection options: one free “Basic” which allows passengers to browse the Internet, stay connected to social networks, send and receive emails and instant messages using their phones, tablets or laptops for the entire duration of the flight.
