Like every Friday, the editorial staff ofNantes news looks for festivals, events or concerts to entertain you on the weekend. This weekend, Christmas festivities begin in downtown Nantesthe opportunity to get ahead of your purchases but also to relax after a long week of work. Here are our ideas for the Saturday November 22 and Sunday November 23.
The Winter Journey
It’s the event of the weekend! The Winter Journey is officially launched. The Chorale du Voyage is organizing a concert on Saturday at Place Félix Fournier. This year the Winter Trip will take place from November 22 to January 4, 2025. The Christmas market is back at Place Royale and Commerce. Like last year, 140 exhibitors will be present and 60% of them will be local merchants. L’Autre Marché will also be present in Feydeau.
The famous “Petite Maman Noël” will once again be installed next to the Other Market, in Feydeau. THE Eternal Ride will return to its usual location: Place du Bouffay. Children will be able to post their letter to Santa next to the Carousel from November 21 and until December 25.

The 3 Continents festival
The film festival returns for a 47e edition. Directors Ang Lee (The Secret of Brokeback Mountain) and Youssef Chahine (Gare Centrale) are in the spotlight this year. This edition offers a program centered on love and a focus on Sri Lankan cinema. Click here to access the ticket office.
Board games in a castle
Sunday November 23 at 2 p.m., have fun at Thouaré castle. This transforms into a “fireside” games room. You can play alone, with family or with friends while enjoying tea. IIt is best to register.
Nantes vs Cholet
THE Corsairs of Nantes will face the Dogs de Cholet on Saturday November 22 at 6 p.m. The derby will take place at the Petit-Port ice rink. The Corsairs will have to raise the bar after their defeat against Strasbourg (5-2) on Tuesday November 18. Click here to reserve your place.
