Indie Retro News: Lunadia – A single screen arcade game for the C64 by Commodore Spain

While new game announcements have been in short supply these last couple of days from myself (blame ill health), I wanted to at least mention this new single screen arcade game for the C64 by Commodore Spain called ‘Lunadia’. A game whereby you must avoid falling asteroids while trying to recover broken pieces of the lunar research before time runs out. If that sounds like your sort of game that was created with Garry Kitchen’s GameMaker (published by Activision in 1985), then make sure to check it out below the latest footage.

Here’s the latest from the website. “You are a lunar researcher. You now find yourself on a planet whose moon, called “Lunadia,” has collided with an asteroid and collapsed. There is little time left to escape the disaster, but even less time to recover your research.”

OBJECTIVE:

  • – You must recover the broken pieces of lunar research before time runs out.
  • – You have 65 parsaits (a unit of lunar time equivalent to 1 Earth second) to recover them in each wave.
  • – You have 6 lives to recover the research pieces.
  • – Warning: With each wave (phase), the broken pieces of Lunadia arrive more quickly. Be careful!
