Electronic Arts has lifted the veil on a new video game titled Star Wars Zero Company. It will be presented on April 19, during Star Wars Celebration.
From April 18 to 20, fans of Star Wars have an appointment with the Star Wars Celebration, an event to follow to discover the latest news from the cult saga. On this occasion, Electronic Arts will unveil Star Wars Zero Companya new video game teased in a message published on X on April 14.
The American studio hasn’t said much about this project discussed for several years alreadyotherwise it will take the form of a “ single-player turn-based tactics game “, a genre that will not necessarily be unanimously accepted. Star Wars Zero Company is the result of a collaboration between Respawn Entertainment studios — already at work on Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order et Star Wars Jedi: Survivor — et Bit Reactor.
What do we know about Star Wars Zero Company ?
Bit Reactor is a company founded in 2022 by former developers who worked for Firaxis Games, to whom we owe the games XCOM et Civilization. In fact, they master the genre quite well, which mixes both strategy and tactics. Considering the gameplay at work in these renowned licenses, that of Star Wars Zero Company should be solid.
The artwork provided by Electronic Arts also provides some clues. Obviously, we will be playing a team led by a mustachioed mercenary. It would consist of a Jedi Knight belonging to the Tognath species, a clone trooper, a Mandalorian, an astromech-like droid and what looks like a sniper. It is assumed that everyone will have a different but complementary specialty and skills, in order to deal with all situations. The tactical gameplay would allow you to play them in turns.
The image also gives an idea of the place of Star Wars Zero Company in the timeline. We can bet that this will occur during the prelogy, a suggestion supported by the presence of a clone trooper in the group, but also by the hologram showing a battle droid – and iconic of The Phantom Menace. Will we play as an elite force responsible for carrying out perilous missions on behalf of the Republic against the Separatists? This is a plausible scenario, considering that the universe looks very dark. THE Star Wars official website in any case clearly mentions the Clone Wars.
