Less polluting than elsewhere, Black Friday sales operations are also played on French rails. Trainline, a British online train ticket sales company, “is launching an exceptional offer: -10% on the purchase of a TGV INOUI Advantage Card (Young, Adult or Senior)”, it promises in a press release transmitted to actu.fr Wednesday November 19, 2025.
Which is surprising, when we know that the object of the reduction in question is a pure product of the SNCF. And above all, the French railway company does not do any.
“No other platform offers this reduction”
Trainline even prides itself on being “the only player to offer a discount” on this card, which allows you to benefit from a 30% reduction on all journeys and access to capped prices. “An exclusive promotion, offered only by Trainline this year,” boasts the journey booking platform.
No other platform offers this reduction on the TGV INOUI Advantage Card, offering a unique opportunity to travel at a reduced price throughout 2026.
As for the French national railway company, “there is no promotion on the Advantage card planned for Black Friday”, confirms SNCF Voyageurs, contacted by actu.fr.
“Promotions throughout the year”
“Promotions can take several forms (reduction on the card, promotion on TGV INOUI, OUIGO or Europe tickets, etc.),” responds the company. “This is what SNCF Voyageurs offers all year round,” she explains.
We organize promotions and flash sales on our various products throughout the year, such as the Traincredible days in September.
There is therefore no need for the SNCF to add an additional promotional period, according to her.
One point on which the British company and the French company nevertheless agree: the Avantage card makes it possible to optimize the budget voyage. And the investment is also quickly amortized.
