Google is accelerating on the journey, and after several months of tests, the group is unveiling a series of AI-powered tools to make flight searches easier, organizing itineraries and, for some users, travel reservations.
A set of new features which marks a new stage in the transformation of Google into a true travel assistant that contrasts with the version of Google Flights from 2018.
For French Internet users, the main development is the global arrival of the tool Flight Dealsnow accessible in more than 200 countries and available in more than 60 languages. But Google is also preparing a much broader experience, supported by its controversial AI Mode…

If Flight Deals arrives in France, other innovations announced by Google are currently only accessible to American users.
The first, Canvasis a complete tool for creating your own routes. Users can centralize their ideas, compare hotels, view photos and reviews from Google Maps, integrate restaurant or activity suggestions, and ask the AI follow-up questions. Canvas presents itself as an evolving space, where users can interrupt a session, then resume it via the AI Mode history.
The other new feature also concerns AI Mode, which can now search and offer reservations restaurants, show tickets or treatments, by browsing several platforms in real time. The AI then presents a list of relevant options, with direct links to complete the booking.
For the future, Google also announces that it is working on the possibility of fully closing flight and hotel reservations directly in the interface. An evolution that depends on a vast network of partners, including Booking.com, Marriott or even Expedia.
French travelers will have to wait to benefit from this complete experience, even if the global arrival of Flight Deals suggests Google’s desire to gradually extend AI Mode…
